Napa’s Juslyn Vineyards is for sale for $35 million
Just a few minutes’ drive from the wine-centric amenities of St. Helena, Napa’s highly acclaimed Juslyn Vineywards is for sale, offering a sprawling estate of nearly 45 acres priced at $35 million. If you missed the chance to own a renowned winery and vineyard in Napa when Seven Stones Winery sold in November 2022 for $34 million, here’s another chance.
“These vineyards were originally planted in the 1860s as part of Caroline Bale’s dowry when she married Charles Krug,” co-listing agent Nick Muccitelli of Compass said in an email. “It was sold and went dormant sometime between the phylloxera epidemic of the 1900s and prohibition in the 1920s. The vineyard returned to its state as a native forest and remained that way for more than 70 years.”
The next owners were Carolyn and Perry Butler, British expats who first found success in the 1980s Bay Area tech industry. After selling their San Francisco-based computer business, the Butlers turned to their real passion, winemaking.

In 1997, the couple purchased this property and cultivated cabernet sauvignon, merlot, cabernet franc and petit verdot to launch Juslyn Vineyards.
Since then, the winery has grown its production and reputation. Juslyn Vineyards has won myriad accolades and top wine scores on 23 of their vintages.

The listing explains that this parcel is “primed for expansion and growth.” The land itself could be developed to include a residence, and there are another 6 plantable acres on offer as well as the necessary winery license buyers would need to establish a tasting room. This parcel is also listed at $17.5 million.
